November 1, 2015 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Lone Star Brahmas News Release
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX - This weekend was the third time already this season the Brahmas faced off against the Amarillo Bulls and even this time, there was no charm for the division rival.
On Friday night, the foes did strike first when Keenan Sabatini found the back of the cage. However, in the following minutes to close out the first imports Oskar Andren and Tomas Brejcha scored to give the Brahmas an edge heading into the locker room.
Amarillo would tie things up in the second but a third period tally by second year vet Peter Kessel proved to be the game-winning goal.
Conor O'Brien picked up his fourth win of the year in net recording 19 saves.
Saturday was a different story as there were no offensive contributions by the Bulls the entire 60 minutes.
Corbin Kaczperski earned his first NAHL shutout stopping all 17 pucks sent his way.
In front of him the Brahmas recorded one goal each period, courtesty of Joey Fallon, Kyle Patava and Alex Berardinelli. Patava lead the team with eight shots on goal in the contest.
After the sweep the Brahmas remain in second place in the south division with a record of 9-1-3. The team has off next weekend but following that will return to their home territory to take on these very same Bulls on November 13 & 14. Tickets are available under the TICKETS tab at the top of your screen, over the phone at 817-336-4ICE or at the box office.
