Brahmas Blanked by 'Bugs 1-0

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (March 13)- In their final matchup in the regular season, the I-20 rivalry was heated and now completed with the Brahmas getting shutout 1-0.

A scoreless first and second set the stage for things to come with a tight game, but it was Mudbug ‚¬â„¢s forward Shawn Limpright who found offensive daylight with eight minutes remaining in the final period for his 19th goal of the season. With just over a minute remaining in the game Texas yanked goaltender Wayne Savage for the extra attacker, but were unable to get the job done, getting shutout for the second time this season in a final 1-0 score. Savage stopped 31 shots on goal and the Brahmas outshot the ‚¬ËœBugs 33-32.

* Meet the Brahmas this week beginning this Monday when the Brahmas will send a few of your favorite players to Texas Roadhouse (5250 Endicott Avenue, Fort Worth) for a meet and greet from 5:30-7 pm. On Tuesday some of your Brahmas players will make their way to the local Hooter ‚¬â„¢s (7669 Blvd. 26, North Richland Hills) for a meet and greet and pick up broomball game in the parking lot from 7-9 pm. Next Wednesday, March 23, the Brahmas and Hooter ‚¬â„¢s will be teaming up for charity with a "Tip a Waiter" night from 7-9 pm. Brahmas players will be assisting the wait staff at Hooter ‚¬â„¢s in North Richland Hills and donating their tips to a local charity.
