WICHITA, Kan. (March 13, 2011)- Aaron Davis scored twice as the host Wichita Thunder struck for four unanswered goals on the way to a 4-1 win over the Quad City Mallards Sunday evening.
Just 28 seconds after Tyler Shelast gave the Mallards a 1-0 lead at 8:12 of the first period with a blast from the right wing circle, Davis kick-started the Thunder attack by tipping in Andrew Martens's feed.
The Thunder snapped the 1-1 deadlock when Davis scored from the high slot at 10:39 of the second period. At 14:57 of the second, Chris Greene stretched the gap to 3-1 by finishing off a 2-on-1 rush.
Jesse Bennefield converted another 2-on-1 to cap off the win for the Thunder at 15:58 of the third period.
