
Braeden Kressler Called up by Maple Leafs, Reassigned to the Marlies

Flint, Mich. - The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that forward Braeden Kressler has been reassigned to their AHL Affiliate affiliate, the Toronto Marlies.
"This is just a dream come true," Kressler said. "I'm sure the nerves will kick in soon but right now I'm just really excited to start my pro career that I've been working all my life for."
Kressler produced his best season in Flint thus far this past season, recording 25 G and 27 A in 47 GP while dominating in the faceoff circle at 57.2%.
The Firebirds selected Kressler in the 2nd round (#28 overall) in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection. For his career in Flint, he scored 86 Pts (39 G, 47 A) in 121 GP while winning a career 55.2% of draws.
The Kitchener, Ont. native went undrafted in the 2021 NHL Draft only to be signed to an NHL contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs in October of 2021.
The Marlies finish up their regular season this weekend with back-to-back home games against the Belleville Senators on Saturday and Sunday.
