Halifax Mooseheads News Release
20-year-old goaltender Brady James made the decision over the weekend to leave Mooseheads Training Camp - presented by Eastlink. His departure opens up an overage roster spot with Brody Fournier and David Moravec both ready to open the season holding down two-of-the-three available 20-year-old slots. Meantime, Jack Milner and Sam Madgett are the remaining goalie prospects at camp with the 18-year-old Milner expected to fill the backup role to star goalie Mathis Rousseau.
James was Halifax's sixth round pick in 2019 and compiled a career record of 41-35 in 83 games played between 2020 and 2023.
The camp roster now sits at 27 players with only a handful of cuts remaining. The majority of the Mooseheads returning veterans arrived at camp on Sunday with only Jordan Dumais, Markus Vidicek and David Moravec still to come. Practices continue daily throughout the week. The next preseason game will be played on the road against Charlottetown on Saturday, September 9th before the Herd wraps up the home portion of the schedule on Sunday, September 10th at 4pm vs Cape Breton at the RBC Centre in Dartmouth.
Regular season individual tickets will go on sale on Monday, September 11th at Ticketmaster.ca.
