Rome, GA - Bowling Green defeated Rome again Wednesday night by a final score of 6-1 before 2,392 fans. It was their second straight win over the Braves.
The Hot Rods scored six times in the fourth inning highlighted by a grand slam by John Mollicone (4) to take a commanding 6-0 lead.
The Braves scored their only run in the bottom of the seventh on an RBI single by Shayne Moody. Despite fielding errors in the inning and a bases loaded one out situation, Bowling Green pitching was able to get Luis Sumoza to hit into an inning ending double play.
Frank De Los Santos pitched eight innings scattering six hits and surrendering just one run to get the victory (4-6). Rome's Dimasther Delgado (1-2) goes seven innings giving up seven hits and five earned runs while striking out six.
