Fort Worth Brahmas News Release
Fort Worth â Normally, the players on the Fort Worth Brahmas spend their time looking for goals. This Sunday, Feb. 22, the Brahmas players will be looking for something elseâstrikes.
The Fort Worth Brahmas Booster Club will be hosting a charity bowling tournament on Sunday, February 22, 2004 at the Don Carter Cityview Bowling Center (6601 Oakmont Boulevard in Fort Worth). Registration for the tournament will be from 4:00-5:00 p.m., with the tourney itself kicking off at 5:00 p.m. The tournament will be the standard three game format, with the team earning the highest cumulative score taking home the title. Prizes will be given away to the winners.
Fans and supporters are encouraged to come out and bowl with the Brahmas. Each four-person team will be made up of three fans (adult or child) and one Brahmas player or coach. Any individual not wishing to bowl, but still wanting to participate, can sponsor a player or a team.
The cost to participate in the tournament is $25 per person, or $100 for a team. Brahmas players will be assigned to each team, however, any group that purchases a team entry will have the right to choose a specific Brahmas player or coach. The entry fee for the tournament includes the three games of bowling, shoe rental, and food and beverage at a reception following the completion of the bowling. Proceeds from the tournament will go to benefit the Fort Worth Brahmas Booster Club and the Masonic Home and School of Fort Worth.
Brahmas merchandise, including autographed team items, will be given away as door prizes at the reception, and all of the Brahmas players and coaches will be available for autographs and pictures at the reception.
Registration forms for the bowling tournament are available at the Brahmas team office (1314 Lake Street, Suite 200, Fort Worth) and at the Brahmas Booster Club table at all Brahmas home games. Fans may also contact Gina Evans, the President of the Brahmas Booster Club, at (817) 690-2941.
