BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce a pair of roster moves today. RHP Ryohei Tanaka was transferred to Bowie from Class Single-A Aberdeen and RHP Eddie Gamboa was placed on the 7-day Disabled List. With the moves, the Baysox have 24 active players on their 24-man roster.
Tanaka has appeared in six games for Bowie this season, going 0-0 with a 3.09 ERA over 11.2 innings. Tanaka has walked three batters and struck out 11 this season.
Gamboa is 1-2 with a 4.22 ERA over five games for the Baysox this season, including four starts. In 21.1 innings pitched, the right-hander has allowed two walks while striking out 18 batters. He leads the Baysox in innings pitched.
