Boulders Return May 25th

(Pomona, NY) - Professional baseball returns to Provident Bank Park on Friday, May 25th, 2012 when the Rockland Boulders host the rival New Jersey Jackals to open their 2012 CanAm League campaign.
The Boulders 48-game home schedule at America's Best New Ballpark features games on all the summer holidays, including Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. Last season the Boulders attracted nearly 125,000 fans to Provident Bank Park, including fans from 27 different states ranging from Maine to as far away as Washington state.

From Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, we promise a summer of exciting and memorable Boulders baseball!"
Schedule highlights include the three-time defending CanAm League Champion Quebec Capitales making their first visit to Provident Bank Park from June 21st - 23rd. They will make two more trips July 26th - 29th and again August 22nd -24th. The longest home stand is 7 games which happens on three occasions. The longest road trip is 8 games - June25th thru July 2nd. 28 of 48 home games fall from Thursday to Sunday nights. (The entire 2012 schedule is attached.)
Game times and the detailed promotional schedule will be released at a later date, but the 48 home games will feature entertaining promotions including the always popular Saturday firework shows and Thursday dollar beverages. In addition, theme nights such as Irish Heritage Night and EMS/Fire/Police Appreciation Night will return and be back bigger and better than ever. "Every Boulders home game will be an event," Reilly said.
In addition to the Boulders games, Provident Bank Park will also host upwards of 40 college baseball games featuring St. Thomas Aquinas College, Dominican College and Nyack College along with the JCC Maccabi Games Rockland 2012. It is anticipated that other special events will be booked in the ballpark as well.
