New York Boulders News Release
The New York Boulders were shut out by the Quebec Capitales, 4-0, Wednesday night.
David Vinsky had two hits in the loss. Austin Dennis, Matt McDermott, Thomas Walraven and Gabriel Garcia also had hits for New York. Justin Gideon went 3 for 4 with a two-run double and a run scored for Quebec. Greg Bird hit a solo home run and Juremi Profar had an RBI single in the win.
The Boulders loaded the bases with two outs in the top of the eighth, but were unable to manufacture a run.
Fortunately, New York (52-39) did not lose any ground in its bid for a spot in the Frontier League playoffs. The Tri-City ValleyCats (53-39) lost their game against the Sussex County Miners, keeping the Boulders one game back of the final playoff spot.
The Boulders will look to try and pick up some ground heading into their final series of the regular season when they take on the Capitales (57-34) on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. For information on Boulders tickets, value packs and more, visit the Boulders' official website at www.nyboulders.com.
