March 25, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Cape Cod Frenzy News Release

The Boston Frenzy are pleased to announce that the teamÂ’s second season in the American Basketball Association (ABA) will be played in the city of Boston. Frenzy General Manager Dan Savage has begun preliminary discussions with several venues in the Metro Boston area.

"Our first year in North Dartmouth was a great learning experience and we would like to thank everyone in that area for their support. The ABA and the Boston Frenzy offer an exciting brand of basketball at an affordable, family friendly price. We have made the decision to bring our exciting team and style of play to the greatest sports environment in the world....Boston!"

The Frenzy were led this past season by Head Coach Joe "Jelly Bean" Bryant and by one of the most electrifying players in the ABA, John "Helicopter" Humphrey (30.1PPG). Other notable players from last season include Providence College standout Troy Brown (13.9 RPG), Boston native Shannon Crooks(UMASS), Qunallious Randell (Northeastern U.) and AttleboroÂ’s own Leland Anderson (Providence). The team will be making several announcements over the next few weeks which will include upcoming try-out dates, the 2005 coaching staff, home court, and the schedule of the TeamÂ’s off season childrenÂ’s clinics.

Any town or organization interested in having The Boston Frenzy host a clinic this spring or summer can contact the General Manager at info@bostonfrenzy.com for more details. The Frenzy will also be accepting applications to reserve season tickets throughout the spring and summer. The change in location will open up many positions within the organization such as Radio Play by Play announcers, Interns, Marketing team, Group Sales, Game Day Personnel and even the new FRENZY MASCOT.

If you are interested in being part of this exciting organization please e-mail your interest to info@bostonfrenzy.com.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
