THE STAKES: Bossier returns home for a long, and well-deserved 4-game series of home games. The Wings have played more games than any team in the league, playing so far without a weekend off.
At stake is a chance to extend the Battle Wings' 2-game win streak and an opportunity to put another win on the slate before enjoying their first open playing date of the season next week.
THE SERIES: This is the first meeting between the two teams. Rio Grande Valley is one of three expansion teams in this year's AF2

HEAD COACHES: First-year Battle Wings head coach Keith Barefield's resume includes 19 years in the field, 10 as head coach at Evangel University in Springfield, MO where he compiled a 66-33-2 record. He coached 48 All-Americans before moving to San Antonio's Cornerstone Christian School to begin the football program there. While at Cornerstone, Barefield compiled a 23-2 record in two years at the helm including the 2002 Texas state championship.
Just recently, Barefield has been named the offensive coordinator at national prep power Evangel Christian in Shreveport (1999 National Champions in seven polls).
Rio Grande Valley: Gary Gussman, a native of Miami, Florida, takes over as the head coach for the expansion team from located in Hidalgo, Tx. Gussman has several years' experience in the AFL. Offensive coordinator is Rodney Blackshear and defensive coordinator is Tony Missick.
SERIES NOTABLES: The Battle Wings have yet to face the expansion franchise from Rio Grande Valley. Tonight's matchup will be the only meeting this year between the two teams. The Dorados' website can be found at www.doradosfootball.com.
