Booras Hits Milestone; Nets 500th Point Last Night

Wichita, KS (December 29th) - Jon Booras has had his sights set on reaching a personal milestone. With his second-period goal last night, the eight-year pro recorded his 500th point of his career.

Last weekend, Booras played in his 500th-career game against Arizona on Friday, December 20th. He came into the weekend five shy of reaching that same feat in points . On Friday night, Booras had a season-high four assists against the Oilers that helped the Thunder to an 8-2 victory. His goal last night tied the game in the second period against the St. Charles Chill.

The Billings, Montana native played the last seven years in Bloomington, having played for the Blaze and the PrairieThunder before coming to Wichita. In 503 games played, Booras has recorded 198 goals and 302 goals in his career. He has points in his last five outings (4g, 5a) and is currently ninth in the scoring race with 34 points (11g, 23a).

The Thunder and the Chill finish their season-series on Sunday afternoon at 5:05 p.m. Wichita closes out a busy stretch of four games in five days Tuesday night on New Year's Eve in Allen against the Americans at 6:05 p.m.
