O'FALLON, Mo. - The Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, received a two-out double from Mikal Hill in the top of the eighth inning to tally a 5-4 road win over the River City Rascals on Saturday night.

For the second consecutive night the Boomers could not hold onto an early lead. Schaumburg chased River City starter Francis Ramirez from the game in the second inning by scoring four runs. Jordan Dean opened the scoring with an RBI infield single while Paul Kronenfeld followed with a three-run double. River City rallied to tie the game, scoring three runs in the bottom of the sixth. Hill, who entered as pinch runner in the sixth, plated Griff Gordon with a double deep to center in the eighth during his first at bat of the day to account for the final.

Starter Scott Schultz worked 5.2 innings but did not factor in the decision. Derek DeYoung claimed his first win with the Boomers by tossing 2.1 frames. Dexter Price tallied his 50th career save with the Boomers by spinning a perfect ninth for his sixth save of the season. Dean paced the offense with three hits.
