Hardy struck again for the Boomers in the seventh inning on a RBI single to right and Dusty Stroup brought in the final run of the game on a RBI double in the eighth.
Erik Martinez (2-2) tossed six scoreless innings and allowed a trio of hits while striking out six batters to score the win. Paul Hall Jr. (3-9) allowed five runs on eight hits while striking out six in six innings and took the loss.
Ellison's double gives him 10 hits over his last four games and he's now hit safely in seven straight games while reaching safely in 10 consecutive games. Zach Racusin went 0-for-2 with a walk and saw his 15 game hitting streak come to a close.
The Crushers and Boomers will continue their three game series at Mercy Health Stadium on Wednesday night. Lefty Dillon Larsen (0-1, 4.15) will start for the Crushers and the Boomers will counter with right-hander Kyle Arjona (8-6, 3.45). The first pitch is scheduled for 6:35 PM.
