The Bombers fun, furry mascot, Bucky, the Flying Squirrel, will be out and about in the community on Saturday. Catch him at the Breast Cancer CARE Walk in Oakwood on Saturday morning starting at 8:30 a.m. Bucky will be at the registration center at Oakwood High School.
Also on Saturday morning Bucky will be helping racers at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton's "Furry 5kurry" at NCR Old River Park from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Later in the day, Bucky will team up with Bombers' president Costa Papista for the "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" event at The Greene from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. This special event, benefitting Clothes That Work, challenges men to race in high heels to "honor the women in their life and experience the work/life balancing act women accomplish every day, one step at a time."
