Winnipeg Blue Bombers News Release

While some players and coaches will be taking the bye-week off to get away from their football lives, two members of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers will be travelling to Portage la Prairie to go to camp.

Chris Cvetkovic and Kelly Butler will be special guests at Sun Forever Daycamp where they will talk to the 40 kids on hand about playing football and what it means to be professional and work hard.

The camp, which targets youth at risk ages 6-12, has been operating all summer with various themes for every week. Next week, the theme is Sportstown, Portage la Prairie where the kids will be playing and learning about all different kinds of sports.

For Cvetkovic, the appearance will just be another event on the long-snapper's lengthy list of player appearances. Cvetkovic is a fan-favourite and a popular teammate for his attitude and willingness to give back to his fans and teammates.

As for Butler, the former NFL starter is excited about the opportunity to meet the young kids and has been helping out in the community wherever he's played throughout his entire career.

Sun Forever Daycamp runs from 9am until 4pm at the PCU Centre in Portage la Prairie.
