WINNIPEG, MB - The Blue Bombers have made a couple of roster moves Thursday, re-signing import linebacker Joe Lobendahn and import defensive lineman Josh Miller to new contracts.

As per team policy, details of the agreements are not disclosed.

Lobendahn (5-11, 235, Washington '05, DOB: Feb. 15, 1983 in Honolulu, HI) was already under contract with the team, but re-worked a new deal with the football club.

Last season, Lobendahn filled in admirably when starting middle linebacker Barrin Simpson went down with injury. In seven games, Lobendahn registered 39 tackles and two quarterback sacks. He also notched a fumble recovery that was one yard away from a being a defensive touchdown against Hamilton.

The second year linebacker is expected to improve even more this season with more playing time under head coach Mike Kelly

"We have big plans for Joe and we expect him to fit well into our defence and make a ton of plays. Joe has a lot of talent and I'm excited to see what he can do with an increased role and more playing time," said Kelly.

Miller (6-4, 282, Saginaw Valley State '08, DOB: Nov. 19, 1986 in Waterford, MI) spent the 2008 season with the Blue Bombers and was set to become a free agent on Feb. 15..

The big defensive lineman spent limited time on the active roster last season, only playing in two games, notching four tackles and one sack.

Miller is only 23-years-old and enters his second year in the league after a four year collegiate career at Saginaw Valley State, where he was a three time all-conference selection.

"Josh is a good player that we want back in training camp this year," said Kelly.
