Dayton Bombers News Release

Dayton, OH - The Dayton Bombers and Clear Channel Communications today announced a multi-year partnership to broadcast approximately 30 home and road Bombers games on 980AM WONE "Dayton's Sports Station."

"This is a great opportunity for the team to generate more local exposure," Bombers President and owner Costa Papista said. "We greatly appreciate the support and commitment that Bob Zuroweste and Clear Channel have provided to our team."

"We are thrilled to become broadcast partners with The Dayton Bombers on WONE Dayton's Sports Station," Clear Channel Vice President and WONE General Manager Bob Zuroweste said. "We look forward to broadcasting a large portion of the Bombers schedule live on 980 AM, Dayton's strongest AM radio signal."

Throughout the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 seasons, the Bombers will broadcast approximately 30 games per year on WONE, with on-air veteran Tom Michaels calling the play-by-play. The balance of games will be available live on the B2 Network with streaming audio and video as well.

Michaels rejoins the Bombers after broadcasting the inaugural season in 1991-92 at Hara Arena. Throughout the season Michaels will be joined by former Dayton Gem Guy Trottier, who will be contributing color commentary to the broadcast.

"I'm very excited to be back in the play-by-play seat for the Dayton Bombers," Michaels said. "The game has changed a bit, but Guy and I will make sure to bring a good show to the fans each and every night."

All game broadcasts will begin 15 minutes prior to puck-drop with the Bombers pre-game show.

A complete list of games to be broadcast can be found below.

Also on WONE, the Bombers will have a weekly segment on Sportstalk 980 with Mark Schlemmer along with Coach Bill McDonald and various players on Thursdays from 5-6 p.m. Fans can call into the station to discuss the Bombers and ask players and coaching staff questions about the season.
