Brazos Valley Bombers News Release
Bryan/College Station, TX - The Bombers could not overcome an early 11-0 deficit, dropping the series opener to Texarkana 11-3 in front of the home crowd at Travis Field. The Bombers struggled with the free pass, allowing four walks in the first inning, where the Twins exploded for six runs.
The Bombers fell behind early, allowing 6 runs before their first plate appearance of the night. The Twins would again jump on Bombers pitching in the second inning, where they added another 5 runs, including a three run home run from Jojo Craig. The Bombers would try to come back late, scoring three runs in the 6th inning, including a two run home run by Christian Sepulveda. This would not be enough as the team could not string together multiple hits in the late innings, allowing for the team to not complete the comeback
The Bombers will return to Travis Field tomorrow seeking redemption in front of the home fans, as they complete the two game series against Texarkana at 7:05.
