Texarkana Twins News Release
Bryan/College Station, TX - The Texarkana Twins had their 6 game win streak snapped against the Brazos Valley Bombers at Travis Field in Bryan, Texas. The game was highly contested with the lead changing hands multiple times in the middle innings.
The Twins faced an early deficit after allowing the Bombers to score in the first inning. However, the team would take the lead in the 3rd inning off the bat of Designated Hitter Jakob Nunez, who crushed a bases clearing double to give the Twins a 3-1 lead. The Bombers would however comeback off a three run home run from Bennett Inoff, putting the Bombers in front. The Bombers would add another run in the 5th inning to take a 5-3 lead. The Twins would not quit, almost completing the comeback after scoring a run in the 7th inning to make the game 5-4, which would be tonight's final score.
The Twins remain on the road to take on the Texas Marshals tomorrow in Dallas. The Twins will return home June 18th to take on the Victoria Generals at George Dobson Field.
