Texarkana Twins News Release
Bryan/College Station, TX - The Texarkana Twins continued their hot stretch, extending their winning streak to six games after defeating the first place Bombers 11-3 in front of their home crowd at Travis Field in Bryan, TX.
The Twins did their damage in the early innings, scoring all 11 runs in the first two innings of the game, showing great patience at the plate during the game. The Twins drew four walks against the Bombers starter Cody Lecompte, scoring 6 runs on timely hitting and patience. The second inning provided more fire power for the Twins, capped off by a three run home run from designated hitter Jojo Craig. The Twins would put 5 runs on the board, jumping out to the early 11-0 lead.
Foster Pace did a great job as the starting pitcher for the Twins, only allowing 3 runs in the 6th inning, with the only major mistake coming off a 2 run home run by Bombers shortstop Christian Sepulveda. That would be good enough to earn the win for the Twins. Centerfielder Cam Hill also provided a spark for the team, going 4 for 5 on the night and scoring 2 runs for the Twins.
The Twins will finish the two game series against the Bombers tomorrow night in Bryan, before heading to Dallas to take on the Texas Marshals.
