WINNIPEG, MB - The Blue Bombers signed import defensive backs Keyuo Craver and Derrick Strait today.

As per team policy, details of the agreements are not disclosed.

Craver (5-10, 182, Nebraska '02, DOB: Aug. 22, 1980 in Dallas, TX) is a speedy defensive back that has prior CFL experience with the Edmonton Eskimos.

Craver spent two seasons with the Eskimos in 2005 and '06, and earned significant playing time in his second year with the club.

In 13 games in 2006, Craver made 49 defensive tackles, two pass knockdowns, and had three interceptions with Edmonton.

A fourth round draft pick in the 2002 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints, Craver has spent the past two years with the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena League.

"We continue to add quality players like Keyuo, which will make training camp competitive and at the same time it will provide us with depth and roster options," said head coach Mike Kelly.

Strait (5-11, 189, Oklahoma '04, DOB: Aug. 27, 1980 in Austin, TX) is another import defensive back with NFL experience.

He was drafted in the third round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the New York Jets and had stints with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears, and Carolina Panthers.

Strait has an impressive college football resume that includes being a four year starter at Oklahoma - where he played his college football.

As a senior, Strait won the Bronko Nagurski trophy and the Jim Thorpe Award. He was a two-time All-American at Oklahoma.
