PITTSFIELD, MA - Danny Bomback took a Mark Rosen pitch over the centerfield wall to lead off the bottom of the 11th inning as the Pittsfield Colonials provided their fans with some early Independence Day fireworks, delivering a 3-2 walkoff win over the Brockton Rox.

Pittsfield cracked the scoreboard first in the bottom of the second innings when a Quentin Davis double brought home Peter Fatse for a 1-0 lead. The Colonials extended the lead in the fifth when Jerod Edmondson smacked his third homer of the year to right, making it 2-0.

Meanwhile, Chad Paronto was brilliant for the Colonials. The veteran right-hander went eight shutout innings, matching his longest outing since 1999, allowing four hits, striking out four.

The series wraps up on Monday where the Pittsfield will celebrate July 4 at Wahconah Park.
