INDIANAPOLIS - Steven Bolton made 42 saves and allowed only one goal to lead the Tri-City Storm (16-15-6, 38 pts) to victory over the Indiana Ice (19-14-1, 39 pts) on Friday night, 3-1. With the win, it moves the Storm to four points in front of fifth place Sioux City.

The Storm got the opening goal in the first period with 1:02 left in the period on Jaden Schwartz's 20th goal of the season. Nate Jensen earned the lone assist on the goal that gave the Storm a 1-0 lead at the intermission.

After a scoreless second period, the Ice tied the game in the third period at the 9:26 mark, as Max Cook scored to end an Indiana scoring drought that lasted over 133-minutes, which dated back to last Friday's lost to the Lincoln Stars (5-1).

Tyler Pistone helped regain the lead with 5:25 left in the game, on a deflection on Branden Fisher's point-shot. Michael Montrose earned his 10th assist of the season, as Pistone scored his fourth goal of the season on the game-winning goal.

Cody Murphy added an empty-net goal with four-seconds left in the game to close out the victory for the Storm. Schwartz tallied his record breaking 35th assist on the goal, which eclipses the Storm rookie record for assists in a season that was set by Calle Ridderwall.

Bolton (6-4-0) made 42 saves on 43 shots in the win for the Storm. Cab Morris (11-6-0) made 25 saves on 27 shots in the loss for the Ice.

Tri-City did not have a power play, while Indiana was 0-2 with the man-advantage.

The Storm will play the Indiana Ice for the final time this season on Saturday (6:05 p.m.) night at the Pepsi Coliseum.

Notes: The Storm has won all three games against the Ice this season and win the regular-season series against Indiana... The Storm is 11-3-2 when scoring the first goal in the game... Tri-City is 7-10-2 on the road this season and are 3-2-0 in the month of January away from home
