ORONO, Maine - Jack Campbell (Port Huron, Mich.) made 23 saves, but none of the U.S. National Under-18 Team's 33 shots found the back of the net as it fell to the University of Maine, 4-0, here tonight at Alfond Arena.

The Black Bears took a 1-0 advantage at 10:31 of the first frame when Brett Carriere's shot beat Campbell. Team USA out shot Maine by a 15-10 margin in the opening 20 minutes, but goaltender Shawn Sirman was equal to each U.S. attempt.

Nick Pryor converted on a Gustav Nyquist feed just 3:51 into the second period, putting the Black Bears ahead, 2-0. Nyquist gave Maine a three-goal lead with just 1:02 remaining in the stanza with a power-play goal.

With 2:42 remaining in the final frame, Will O'Neill tallied to make it 4-0. Team USA poured 13 shots on goal in the closing 20 minutes, but were unable to solve Sirman.

The U.S. National Under-18 Team will close out the NCAA portion of its schedule Sunday against Division III opponent University of Southern Maine at 4 p.m. EST.
