BOISE, ID - HO, HO, HO, eat well and PLAY BALL! Boise Hawks and Texas Roadhouse hosted the fourth annual "Christmas in July" luncheon to benefit Boise Rescue Mission.
Boise Hawks baseball players teamed up with Roadhouse staff and served 150 delicious BBQ'd meals to Boise Rescue Mission guests and supporting community. Lunch was served from 11:00-1:00pm
Thanks to event sponsors and supporters, the "Christmas in July" benefit raised nearly $3,000.
Boise Rescue Mission Ministries celebrates 50 years of service to the hungry and homeless in the Treasure Valley community, and continues to reach out by teaching the word of God and providing food, shelter, clothing, counseling, education, and drug and alcohol recovery programs for the homeless and others in need-365 days a year.
The Hawks are competing in their 22nd season of Northwest League play in 2008. The club has won 6 NWL Championships, the most recent banner coming in 2004.
