
Boise gets victory over Salem-Keizer

BOISE, Idaho - Reggie Golden went 2-for-4 with a career-high four RBI, helping the Boise Hawks to a 10-5 victory over the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes at Memorial Stadium.
With the win, Boise moves back above the .500 mark at 6-5 on the season and completed their first series win over a West Division foe in 2011.
Leading 5-3 in the sixth, the Hawks broke the game open, as Golden gapped a two-run triple to right-center that S-K centerfield Jesus Galindo lost in the lights. Blair Springfield, who drove in three runs, added an RBI single to push the margin to 8-3.
Austin Reed picked up his first win of the season, going five and two-thirds innings, allowing just two earned runs, with Colin Richardson getting the final 10 outs for his first save. Rafael Lopez had a 3-for-5 night for Boise, with Springfield, Zeke DeVoss, and Wes Darvill each logged two hits.
Joe Staley extended his consecutive at bats reached to 11, going 3-for-3 with two RBI, and Joe Panik went 3-for-4 in the loss for S-K.
Boise hits the road tomorrow for a three-game set with first-place Tri-City, as Willengton Cruz hits the mound for the Hawks at 8:15 p.m .(MDT)
