Late Scoring by Everett Leads to a Bears' Loss

The Yakima Bears were beaten 6-2 Friday night by the Everett Aquasox at Yakima County Stadium. The Bears got a tremendous start from Bears pitcher Yiomar Camacho, but the bullpen couldn't hold on to a slim lead in the late innings.
Camacho allowed only one run in seven innings for his second consecutive quality start in his second Northwest League game. Camacho left the game with his team leading 2-1, but that lead would not hold up.
The Bears scored two runs in the third inning, when Tyler Bream and Westley Moss both scored thanks to a hit by Moss, two errors, and a single from Raul Navarro.
A pair of hits by the Aquasox scored a run off of Camacho in the fourth inning, but Everett saved its best for the Bears bullpen.
In Drew Zizinia's only inning of work, the Aquasox scored four runs on four hits to take a 5-2 lead in the top of the eighth. Another run would come in for the Aquasox in the ninth inning against Miles Reagan, but that run was unearned.
The Aquasox won while committing four errors in the game, bringing their series total to 12 errors in the first four games of this series.
All 10 of the Bears hits in the game were singles. Henry Zabala led the Bears with a 3-for-4 game, while both Navarro and Tyson Van Winkle finished 2-for-4.
The series finale between the Bears and Aquasox is scheduled for 7:05 Saturday night at Yakima County Stadium. A pair of lefty pitchers are expected to start the game, Adam Kudryk of the Bears and Jordan Shipers of the Aquasox.
