The Bismarck Bobcats (26-12-1, 53 points) play a two-game home series against the Owatonna Express (21-18-1, 43 points) beginning Friday night in the V.F.W. Sports Center. Currently, the Bobcats have won eight of the last nine games and are on a six-game winning streak. Bismarck is also on a season high eight-game home winning streak and hasn't lost at home since November 1, 2008.
The Express have plenty offense and are led by Air Force-bound Stephen Carew. Carew leads Owatonna in goals (23) and points (41). Nonetheless, the Bobcats do control the season series 4-2 as the first six games were played in the Four Seasons Centre in Owatonna.
The Bobcats have the second best powerplay in the North American Hockey League at 18.7%. Bismarck's penalty kill is fifth in the NAHL at 86.5%.
Owatonna's powerplay is ranked 10th at 16.5%, while their penalty kill is 11th at 85.5%.
