Mason City (IA) The excitement, enjoyment and pleasantness that surrounds the holiday season has just enough time to dissipate before the polarizing event known as Valentine's Day knocks on the door and invites itself into the party of our lives like that nosey neighbor with no sense of self-awareness. For those in a relationship, the pressure mounts like a ton of chalky candy hearts to find that perfect gift to express their feelings. Meanwhile, those on their own are left to feel on the outside like nerds trying to enter the frat house.
Well, the North Iowa Outlaws want to do their part to make-sure this Valentine's Day -and all future ones - don't come up upon them with the dread of an appointment with a dentist. With that in mind, the Outlaws are presenting "Love is in the Air Night" the night before Valentine's Day on February 13th during their 8pm game against the Owatonna Express at the North Iowa Ice Arena.
The evening will feature a special $22 "couples" ticket package which includes (2) tickets and (2) beers and (2) chuck-a-pucks. Fans must be at least 21 years and older to take advantage of the package and tickets MUST BE PURCHASED BEFORE NOON on Feb. 13th.
For those who don't have a special someone, the Outlaws will be presenting a special Single's Mixer inside the Slap Shot Corral in the northwest corner throughout the game. For no charge, all singles 21 and over are invited to sign-up at the game and throughout play meet with other area singles. At the end of the night, all singles will mark down people they'd like to get to meet again and those who match up will be put in touch through the Outlaws and receive free tickets to a future game to come together to.
In addition, there will be a local celebrity version of the Dating Game and the Kissing Game during the intermissions.
