Bobcats blast Bulls twice at home

November 18, 2004 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Bismarck Bobcats News Release

The Bismarck Bobcats cooled off the red-hot Billings Bulls twice at home over the weekend.

On Thursday, the Bobcats put a flurry together in the second period, scoring three goals in a three and a half minute span to put the game out of reach. The final was 6-2. Casey Dynan scored two goals to lead the way with Jacque Lamoreaux adding a goal and two assists. Josh Pauer, Nick Schneider, and Logan Wolosek scored as well in a great team effort.

On Friday, Bismarck picked up where they left off the night before, beating NAHL West Division leader Billings once again 4-1. Brett Sobolik scored two goals on the night, one the power play, while Lamoreaux and Clay Rehm also tallied. Scott Paul added two assists on the night as well.

Goaltender Aaron Walski was superb in both contests against Billings stopping 67 out of 70 shots.

Saturday, however, was a different story. The 'Cats hit the road to Fargo-Moorhead and were beaten 5-1 by the Jets.

Creighton Scarpone and Tom Dickhudt both lit the lamp twice for the Jets against Bismarck, who were outshot 42-30 on the night. Casey Dynan was the only Bobcats to find the net, scoring a goal early in the second period to tie the game at one apiece. But the Jets scored three times in the second, and once in the third to blow it wide open.

The Bobcats end the weekend above .500 for the first time this season at 8-7-3 and play host to Bozeman for the first time this season on Thursday and Friday night, before hitting the road to Fargo once again Saturday.
