
Bobby Thompson passes

WINNIPEG, MB â The Winnipeg Football Club would like to extend their thoughts and prayers to the Thompson family.
"It is with great sadness that we learned about the passing of our great friend and team mate, "Big Cat". Our thoughts and prayers are with his family," said Lyle Bauer.
Bobby Thompson suffered a fatal heart attack January 27, 2005.
Thompson played for the Blue & Gold from 1979-1983 on the offensive line. He was considered one of the finest offensive tackles in the Big Blue offensive line and the CFL at the time.
Thompson who attended Kansas State College was very active in the community in the off-season during his football career.
