Bobbitt Re-Signs with Stampede

BOISE, Idaho, October 31, 2011 - Tony Bobbitt (6-4, 205, Cincinnati) has re-signed with the NBA Development League and will report to training camp with the Idaho Stampede for training camp, which begins November 14, the organization announced today.

Bobbitt was acquired by the Stampede on Feb. 28, 2011 in a trade with the Springfield Armor. On the season (23 games, 22 starts) Bobbitt averaged 14.1 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. The Daytona Beach, Fla. native played 14 games with the Stampede (14 starts), averaging 14.6 points per game on 45.6 percent shooting, while making 44.6 percent of his three-point attempts. Bobbitt scored a season-high 33 points on March 27 against Austin. Bobbitt twice made eight three-pointers in a game, once as a Stampeder on March 23 against Rio Grande Valley.

Bobbitt has played two games in the NBA as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers - he scored five points, grabbed three rebounds and played 12 minutes in the 2004-05 season.

Bobbitt spent two seasons at the College of Southern Idaho from 2000-02, where he averaged 14.1 points (.441 FG%, .404 3FG%, .802 FT%) before transferring to the University of Cincinnati. While at Cincinnati, Bobbitt, born Oct. 22, 1979, averaged 10.9 points in two seasons. As a senior, Bobbitt was named the Conference USA Sixth Man of the Year (2003-04) and earned Third Team All-Conference USA honors.
