Texas Legends Draft Party this Thursday

Frisco, TX, OCT. 30, 2011 - The Texas Legends will hold a draft party on Thursday, November 3 at the Pizza Hut located at 9550 Dallas Parkway in Frisco, TX. Fans will experience a live "draft room" as co-owner Donnie Nelson, President of Basketball Operations Spud Webb, and Head Coach Del Harris, will make their selections in the 2011 NBA Developmental League Draft starting at 6 p.m.

"The draft is one of the most exciting moments in sports, you never know what kind of gem you will land, or potential trades will arise," Legends Owner Donnie Nelson said. "We just wanted to open the doors to a unique experience and let the fans be a part of it."

Admission and parking at the Pizza Hut in Frisco will be FREE.

Pizza Hut is offering Legends fans who attend the draft $3.00 Margaritas, $1.00 draft beers, and $10 pizzas.

First Rd - 5th Pick

Second Rd - 2nd Pick (Trade with Canton Charge)

Third Rd - 5th Pick

Fourth Rd - 12th Pick

Fifth Rd - 5th Pick

Sixth Rd - 12th Pick, 14th Pick (Trade with Maine Red Claws)

Seventh Rd - 5th Pick

Eighth Rd - 12th Pick

In 2010 the Legends selected Matt Rogers out of Southwest Baptist University with the fourth overall pick. Rogers started 14 games averaging 7.4 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

The Legends will open up their season with a home opener on Saturday, November 26th at 3:00PM. The Team plays at HP Court @ Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco.
