Boatmen Set to Open 2008 Training Camp

Mississauga - The buzz is in the air at the Toronto Argonauts Football Operations facilities at UofT at Mississauga. With rookie camp scheduled to open in 8 days, the countdown is on. The 2008 home opener on July 3 is a mere 45 days away, kicking off what is sure to be another successful season for the Double Blue.

The rookies and quarterbacks, including 2007 CFL Most Outstanding Player Kerry Joseph and Argos' 2008 draft pick Mike Bradwell, report for medicals on Wednesday, May 28, with a 2:40 p.m. practice on May 29. The veterans, including recently-signed captain Mike O'Shea and new Argos Tyler Ebell and TJ Acree, report for medicals on Saturday, May 31 and practice for the first time at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, with two-a-days starting on June 2. Coaches and players will be available to the media immediately following practice. One-on-one interviews should be set up in advance with the communications department.

Updates will be available online at www.argonauts.ca. The 2008 Training Camp Prospectus and Training Camp Guide will be available to the media at training camp.

Training camp is open to the general public. Fans of the Boatmen can come out to UofT at Mississauga, 3359 Mississauga Rd. North, Upper Field, and be among the first to meet your 2008 Toronto Argonauts.
