Bullies Charge Past Cyclones, Win 5-4

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. â The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the East Coast Hockey League managed a come-from-behind victory despite a two-goal deficit in the third period and beat the Cincinnati Cyclones by a final of 5-4.
Kevin Colley led the charge with his second goal of the night six minutes, 30 seconds into the final frame. Blueliner Ian Walterson followed just 49 seconds later, stuffing the puck behind âClones goalie Greg Hewitt.
Stefan Rivard tallied the game winner at 8:46 in front of a raucous crowd at Boardwalk Hall. Scott Stirling made his playoff debut with the Bullies, turning aside 21 shots and allowing all four Cyclones' goals.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. â The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies defeated the Cincinnati Cyclones by a final of 5-0 Friday and took a two games to none series lead in the Northern Conference Finals. J.F. Caudron led the Bullies with four points (2G, 2A), including two power- play tallies. Luke Curtin scored the game-winning goal on a power play three minutes, 37 seconds into the first period.
Overall, the Bullies were 4-for-9 with the man-advantage and Steve Cheredaryk netted an unassisted short-handed goal in the first period, his first goal of the playoffs.
Curtin extended his playoff scoring streak to nine games, tallying at least one point in all of the Bullies' playoff games thus far.
Scott Stirling earned the shutout between the pipes, turning aside all 27 Cyclones shots. Cincinnati's Greg Hewitt allowed four Bullies' goals in 26 minutes, five seconds before Peter Hamerlik relieved him. Hamerlik managed 11 saves and allowed Caudron's second of the night nearing the middle of the second period.

CINCINNATI, OHIO â The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies defeated the Cincinnati Cyclones by a final of 3-1 Saturday to take a three games to none series lead in the Northern Conference Finals. Paul Spadafora (1G, 1A) and Ryan Mougenel (2A) led the Bullies with two points each. Kevin Colley netted the game winner at 4:19 of the second period and Shawn Maltby added his third goal of the playoffs to seal the Bullies' victory. Scott Stirling stopped 37 Cyclones shots in his third consecutive win between the pipes and for the second straight game, Peter Hamerlik replaced Greg Hewitt in goal for Cincinnati. Hewitt allowed four goals and stopped 12 Bullies shots in his 26 minutes, five seconds of playing time. Hamerlik made 11 stops and allowed just one goal.

CINCINNATI, OHIO - The Cincinnati Cyclones defeated the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies by a final of 3-1 in Game Four of the Northern Conference Finals to cut the Bullies' series lead to two games.
Peter Metcalf scored the Bullies' lone goal and Scott Stirling allowed all three Cyclones goals and faced just five shots before Matt Yeats relieved him with six minutes, 16 seconds left in the first period. Cincinnati's Nick Bootland netted the game winner in his two-point performance and Peter Hamerlik stopped 32 Bullies shots in his first postseason victory this year.

CINCINNATI, OHIO â The Cincinnati Cyclones defeated the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies by a final of 6-3 Tuesday to cut Atlantic City's series lead to one game. Atlantic City holds a three-games-to-two lead in the best-of- seven Northern Conference Finals series thus far. Shawn Maltby and Kirk Furey registered power-play goals, and J.F. Caudron tied the game at three at the 10-minute mark of the third period before Cincinnati roared back with three unanswered goals to send the series back to Atlantic City for Game Six. Cincinnati's Joe Cardarelli (2G, 1A) and Ryan Gaucher (1G, 2A) led the Cyclones with three points each. Cardarelli notched a power-play goal and the game winner and Nick Bootland chipped in two goals, including an unassisted empty-net tally, to bring his playoff goals total to eight. Scott Stirling stopped 17 Cyclones shots in his second straight loss and Peter Hamerlik recorded his second straight win after turning aside 21 Bullies shots.
