Memphis 901 FC News Release

MEMPHIS, Tennessee - Actor Stony Blyden of new NBC primetime drama "Bluff City Law" will smash the guitar at the start of tomorrow night's Memphis 901 FC match at AutoZone Park against Bethlehem Steel FC.

Presented by Memphis Travel, the guitar smash culminates pregame ceremonies and hypes the crowd for the start of the match. As the home of the blues, soul, and the birthplace of rock and roll, there is no better place for this matchday tradition than Memphis.

In addition to "Bluff City Law," which is filmed in Memphis and debuted on NBC this week airing Mondays at 9:00 p.m., Blyden has also completed the Overbrook Productions feature film LIFE IN A YEAR, starring alongside Jaden Smith, Cara Delavigne, and Cuba Gooding Jr. He also completed Samuel Goldwyn Films' HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL as well as the Indie features THE STANDOFF with Olivia Holt and the Lucy Hale and Awkwafina led indie DUDE.

He also shot a recurring role in the Channing Tatum produced Amazon pilot, COLLEGE and YouTube Red's EDGE OF SEVENTEEN. Previously, he starred as the lead on the Nickelodeon hit series HUNTER STREET and Jason Blum's series RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.

In addition to being an incredibly fresh and innovative actor, Blyden is a mega-talented prodigy musician/drummer/singer/rapper. He has created music for major projects such as MTV's WILD N' OUT, Hulu's launch for SEINFELD streaming and Nickelodeon's HUNTER STREET when he was on the show. Pepsi discovered him and built a full commercial advertising campaign around him. Blyden is from Iceland and resides in Los Angeles.

Previous honorary guitar smashers this season have included Memphis Tigers men's basketball coach Penny Hardaway, Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant, Memphis native Zach Myers of the band Shinedown, former NFL running back and Memphian DeAngelo Williams, Memphis Tigers football coach Mike Norvell, GRAMMY Award winning musician and owner of Memphis' Royal Studios Boo Mitchell, soccer legend Tim Howard, and many others.

Kickoff for tomorrow's match is set for 7:00 p.m., and tickets remain at www.memphis901fc.com/tickets.
