Blues Walk Off

July 19, 2015 - Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL)
Bristol Blues News Release

In last night's bout between the Worcester Bravehearts and the Bristol Blues, the Blues ended in walk-off fashion with a wild pitch that would score UCONN outfielder Griffin Garabedian. With the win the Blues are now 23-15 on the season and hold the first place spot in the West Division, four and a half games ahead of the Torrington Titans.

The Blues were led offensively by Austin Chauvin (St. Mary's) who had one RBI on one hit.

Blues starting pitcher Ryan Lauria (Virginia Tech) was able to pitch five innings, allowing only one run on three hits, striking out 3, and only walking two. Lauria did not end up getting the decision. Blues winning pitcher was Robert Paccione (LIU Post) and Bravehearts losing pitcher was Nick Freijomil.

The Blues are back in action tonight, July 19, to take on the Nashua Sliver Knights at Holman Field. First pitch is scheduled for 5:05pm.
