
Blues Fall in Showdown with Torrington

In last night's match up between the West Division leaders, the Bristol Blues were downed by the Torrington Titans by a score of 6-4, making the Blues record going into the final game of the season 33-22.
The Blues were led offensively last night by Willy Yahn (UCONN) who had two RBI's on one hit. Blues starting pitcher Tim Cate was able to go four innings, allowing just one run on three hits and adding six strikeouts.
Titans winning pitcher was John Russell and Alex Fishberg earned the save for the Titans. Blues second basemen Christian Budzik (Eastern) was pinned with the loss after pitching his first two innings of the summer.
The Blues are back in action tonight, August 9, as they close out the regular season against the Worcester Bravehearts, first pitch is scheduled for 7:30pm.
