The Bristol Blues came away with a win in today's day game against the Martha's Vineyard Sharks. The Blues were able to score runs in every inning from the second all the way to the sixth to secure the 6-5 win for the hometown Blues.
The Blues, now 13-9 this season, were led offensively by Zach Scott who had two RBI's on two hits in the game.
The starting pitcher for the Blues was Dominic LoBrutto who was able to go five and a third innings and allowed five runs, only two of which were earned, on six hits adding four strikeouts to the stat line. In every game LoBrutto has appeared in this season, the Blues have won, and that held true today at Muzzy. Riley Streit was the winning pitcher after going two-thirds of an inning without allowing a run and added a strikeout. Robert Paccione earned the save while staying in for the ninth with two strikeouts. Losing pitcher for the Sharks was Mac Curran.
The Blues get back into the action tomorrow, July 2, when they head to Leary Field to take on the Seacoast Mavericks. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35pm.
