
Titans Get Shutout for Second in 2-0 Loss to Dirt Dawgs

Steve Colella kept the Torrington Titans (9-10) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (7-13) beat the Torrington Titans, 2-0. Colella struck out six and allowed two walks and four hits.
Justin Silvestro racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. He homered in the third inning.
Brett Susi (CCSU, 0-1) took the loss for the Torrington Titans and recorded his first decision of the season. He lasted five innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
John Russell (UConn-Avery Point)Â picked up in the 6th inning and thrw three scoreless inning of no-hit ball to keep Wachusett off the scoreboard. The Titans couldn't get the bats going and were shutout for the second time this season. Dean Lockery (CCSU) led the way on offense with two hits.
The Titans are back in action with two games on Wednesday as part of a doubleheader at Worcester. Game one begins and 5:05 p.m.
