
Blues Assign Grachev and Cole to Peoria

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has assigned defenseman Ian Cole and forward Evgeny Grachev to the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.
Cole, 22, has appeared in 18 games with the Blues this season posting five points (one goal, four assists) while he has also recorded a goal and three assists in 18 games with the Rivermen. The Ann Arbor, Michigan native was originally drafted by the Blues in the first round, 18th overall, of the 2007 Entry Draft.
Grachev, 21, has dressed in 26 games for the Blues this season posting four points (one goal and three assists) while he has also registered two goals and three assists in 13 games for the Rivermen. The Khabarovsk, Russia native was acquired by the Blues from the New York Rangers in exchange for a 2011 third round draft choice (Steven Fogarty) on June 25, 2011.
The Rivermen travel to Rockford to face the IceHogs tonight at 7:05 p.m. The game can be heard locally on CD Country 107.9 FM and online through www.rivermen.net.
