The Toronto Blue Jays today announced that they have signed LHP T.J. HOUSE to a minor league contract with an invitation to Major League spring Training.
House, 27, has pitched in the big leagues with the Cleveland Indians in each of the last three seasons, compiling a 5-7 record and a 4.44 ERA in 27 games and 22 starts with the Tribe. During that time, he struck out 89 batters and walked 34 in 117.2 innings of work. A 16th round selection of the Indians in 2008, House also made 12 starts and 21 relief appearances with Columbus last year, going 5-3 with a 3.98 ERA.
