Blue Bombers to Host First Blue & Gold Showcase at IG Field

WINNIPEG, MB. - The Winnipeg Football Club will be hosting the first Blue & Gold Showcase at IG Field Sunday, May 7th, featuring four all-star teams of high school football players from across the province.

Working in conjunction with high school coaches across Manitoba, the WFC has created all-star teams comprised of over 50 top athletes per team at the U16 and U18 levels. Canadian and US colleges and universities will send coaches to the showcase to scout the selected players.

There is no charge to this program, reducing financial barriers to ensure the best talent from Manitoba is featured and players can demonstrate their abilities to potentially land scholarships with universities or colleges.

Leading up to the showcase games, the players took part in eight practices over the course of a two-week period at WSF North, WSF South, IG Field, and East Side Eagles Field. The showcase games are being held at IG Field on May 7 with the U16 teams playing at 1PM and the U18 teams at 4PM. Both games are free to attend and open to the public.
