WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed import receiver Alex Watson to a contract today.
Watson (5-9, 185, Northern Arizona, DOB: December 21, 1984 in Long Beach, California) was a big part of the offense at Northern Arizona and finished his collegiate career with 194 receptions for 2,250 yards and 22 touchdowns - 14 of which came in his junior year when he caught 81 passes for 1,009 yards, becoming only the eighth player in school history to record 1,000 receiving yards in a season. He was a first team All-Big Sky that season and a second team All-Big Sky as a senior.
