WINNIPEG, MB., June 3, 2021 - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Purolator are pleased to announce the top five finalists from the Small Business Showcase presented by Purolator.
There was an overwhelming response, and we thank all those businesses who entered for a chance to win a $50,000 sponsorship for the 2021 season. Each of the five finalists will receive a $500 shipping credit from Purolator.
Finalist
* Cranked Energy Bars
* High Tea Bakery
* Avriel International
* Voak Sportswear
* Take Pride Winnipeg
"To say that we have been overwhelmed by the response to the Small Business Showcase presented by Purolator is an understatement," said President and CEO, Wade Miller. "The panel spent hours pouring over the entries, and every single one of them deserves recognition. This highlights the need to continue to support our incredible small businesses in the province that are so crucial to our economy."
To win the grand prize, the finalists will be asked to submit a two-minute video pitch on why their company is the most deserving. The wining pitch will be selected by Purolator and Winnipeg Football Club executives.
To be eligible, a business had to be a for-profit company whose principal place of business is located in Manitoba and has less than 50 full-time employees.
All eligible entries received during the submission period were judged on the following criteria: Involvement and value the business brings to the Manitoba community, sponsorship category is a good fit to partner with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and completion of the application.
