FLORENCE, S.C.- On Thursday night the (8-4) second half Columbia Blowfish traveled to take on the (4-12) second half Florence Red Wolves at Sparrow Stadium.
Columbia jumped on top of the Red Wolves early in the top of the first with two runs. Blowfish pitching held Florence scoreless into the bottom of the seventh as the Red Wolves tied it up a two a piece heading into the top of the tenth.
Columbia would be able to scratch a run across and hold of the Red Wolves to snare a road victory once again.
The Blowfish are now (9-4) in the second half of the season sitting in first place of the Western Standings of the Coastal Plain League.
The Columbia Blowfish will be back in action at home next Friday night July 26th hosting the Florence Red Wolves with first pitch set for 7:05pm. Gates open at 6:00pm. It's also Rick Henry Appreciation Night! Adults buy a ticket and kids 12 and under get in for .25 cents!
