Blowfish vs Owls Suspended at a Forest City
June 12, 2014 - Coastal Plain League (Coastal Plain)
Lexington County Blowfish News Release
FOREST CITY, NC - The Columbia Blowfish hit the road on Thursday night to take on the Forest City Owls looking to get back to the .500 mark on the season.
A couple of early hits were not able to yield a run for Columbia, and the Blowfish offense turned things over to the defense.
With skies threatening, the Blowfish sent South Carolina Gamecock lefty pitcher Josh Reagan to the hill.
Reagan threw well for Columbia through 3 innings of work, allowing just 2 hits and striking out 5 before lightning in the area and threatening thunderstorms halted play in the top of the 4th inning.
A delay of at least one hour was instituted as fans headed for the exits and players found their way to the buses.
The game was suspended after a lengthy delay at McNair Field. The game is scheduled to be made up June 19th as part of a doubleheader.
