Lexington County Blowfish News Release
The Blowfish traveled to Florence, SC Wednesday night to take on the Red Wolves.
Blake Hamilton got the start and pitched through seven innings. Recording 3 K's, 0 Runs and only 4 hits allowed.
Red Wolves pitcher Luke Humphreys gave the Blowfish trouble early earning strikeouts on 6 of the first 9 Blowfish batters. He would finish with 9 total K's.
Humphreys could not hold of the bats of the Blowfish in the 7th inning as a two out rally started by Clint Carr would be capped off by an RBI single hit by Nate Blanchard.(1-0)
The Red Wolves would rally back in the bottom of the 8th to tie the score.(1-1)
The score would hold until the 11th inning when the Blowfish were able to string together hits and move runners into scoring position. With one out and runners on the corners, a steal attempt would draw an errant throw from the Red Wolves catcher that would allow the eventual winning run to score. (2-1)
Jimmy Townsend-Chase went on to close out the game retiring the final batter on three straight strikes.

Lexington County has dominated the Red Wolves thus far in the season winning 8 of 9 match ups
Blowfish improve to 18-14 on the season.
Lexington is at home on Thursday night July 7th taking on the Thomasville Hitoms. 7:05 ET
